Howard is a First Nations man who was born in 1966 in The Pas, Manitoba.  His traditional territory is in Northern Manitoba.  He started carving with wood as a child and making his own toys.  In his late teens, he started carving with soapstone and since then has been carving all kinds of wild life.  Eagles, bears, whales, turtles, and abstract carvings.  He currently resides in the traditional unceded territory of the Coast Salish people.
